MANSFIELD'S SPRING BREAK "COME AND GO" SHOWCASE

EVENT COMPLETED SATURDAY, 14 MARCH, AT 5:09 PM

The local community of family, friends and neighbors came together at the Farr Best Theater for this come and go event in downtown Mansfield to celebrate the start of the 2026 Spring Break!  There was a steady stream of people throughout the afternoon with some staying for a few songs, other staying for the entire afternoon.

We were reminded that Spring Break in Texas is a time every year when Winter begins to fade and Springs begins its transition to Summer. Along with Spring Break is a feeling of renewal and newness. Poets have suggested over eons of time that Spring is nature's way of reminding us, regardless of one's age, of all the positives we enjoy and also, that love often fills the air during the Spring transition.

Congratulations to those Members of the Fort Worth Song Writers Association who provided an inspiring musical tribute to Spring Break hosted by the Farr Best Theater with performances by 7 members of the Fort Worth Songwriters Association and co-hosted by the MZP Foundation, a nonprofit charity organized under the internal revenue code 501(c)(3) - site address: https://www.mzpfoundation.org

The 3 hour and 10 minutes event was captured on audio and video.  The edited and shortened version will be posted on the FWSA's Website soon for members to view and enjoy.

Two more events are planned near term at which members of the FWSA are invited to participate: Memorial Day on 25 May and Make Music Day on 21 June, both hosted by the Farr Best Theater in Mansfield. For more information see Mansfield's Commission for the Arts calendar.
