The FWSA Open Mic is open to association members as well as members of the public. Come early to ensure your place on the evening schedule. Due in part to limitations on time and the limited size of the stage, open mic is primarily for individuals and duet performances. Original songs are encouraged. Excellent food with a huge selection of beverages can be purchased.

Monthly Workshops sponsored by the FWSA are primarily for members of the Association although the public is invited to attend one Workshop event before joining the Association. For March 2024, the event is being held at the No Frills Grill in Burleson; the final program is yet to be determined. Check our calendar for additional information to be published soon. The Workshop offers song evaluations and feedback from the members, schedules guest speakers associated with the music business including attorneys, producers, etc., as well as others associated with the music business such as recording engineers.

Enjoy 2 days of music with over 50 music artists performing on multiple stages of all types and genres!! Fort Worth Songwriters Association Members will be located at ACOUSTIC ALLEY. Come and meet Association Members. Bring your own acoustic instruments and join in the many open jam opportunities or even start your own song circle! This will be a great musician networking event! The FWSA Open Mic is held monthly at one of several locations. Please check the FWSA calendar for exact date, time and place for more details. FWSA members and also, members of the community are invited to perform. These events are generally limited to individual (solo/duets) due in part to limited stage space. The songs performed are expected to original, that is, no pre-recorded soundtracks, etc... The performing artists are scheduled in the order of first come, first scheduled. The FWSA Spring Showcase at Clark Gardens, Weatherford TX is a great opportunity for Association members to highlight their songwriting and performance skills. A variety of song style will be performed ranging from Southern Gospel to Country & Western as well a Rock & Roll and other styles. Come on out and enjoy the beautiful ambiance of Clark Gardens.
